As I was reading the newspaper (on-line), I read an article about how gansters or outlaws are creating myspace and facebook accounts. Apparently, these people are going high tech and are creating a following like Jesse James or Billy the Kid. In January, I am going to a workshop on gangs 101 and the internet. I'm guessing the topic is going to be similar. I have heard about a juvenile judge who requires her juveniles on probation to make her a friend on their myspace account. Interesting. I hope you guys had a great Christmas. Happy New Year!

Week Three - Thing 6
I have been exploring Flickr for days; it is a neat site. (Discovery, there are some beautiful people in this world.)
I decided to try a mashup. I am not sure that I was totally mashup successful, but I created a motivational poster using a picture that I found on Flickr. I think. I made a goofy saying: Have a ball! Bend a tree! Question to anyone who reads this? What does, "Have a ball! Bend a tree!" mean? Make your comment.

Thing Flickr
I have just started exploring Flickr and keep thinking why? What is the motivation of the people posting pictures and at the rate of 5,00 images a minute. I will continue trying discover what advantages people gain by using Flickr. There are some amazing photo shots. Way cool!
Also, I am just practicing using my blog.

Thing Three
Setting up the Avatar was fun. Now I need to figure out how to register my blog. (Hint: fourteen year olds are great resources for asking for technological assistance.
Thing Two
I watched the Lifelong Learner discovery thingy, and know this whole blogging experience is an obstacle that I need to turn into an opportunity. Wish me luck!
